This class is a good opportunity for practicing 3 dynamic Qigong and nourishing Qi meditation in a group setting. Group energy (Qi) is very powerful for healing and enhancing your energy level. There is new teaching given on different weeks. No previous experience necessary. For systematic and theoretic Qigong study, please consider taking the weekend Qigong workshops or retreats.

This is an on-going group practice class. You can join the group anytime. All Levels are welcome! $15 per class
Class meets once or twice a month and the dates are online and in newsletter notice. There is usually a group lunch at a Chinese restaurant after class that you can choose to join. Make sure you check for changes and updates for this class every month or even every week. Last minute change of the dates is possible!

Liping Julia Zhu is a certified qigong instructor from China and a disciple of Taoist Master Yu Anren. She was a gold medalist in the 1996 International Martial Arts Tournament. She is the qigong instructor at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a licensed acupuncturist, and a Zen student, former resident for 10 years at San Francisco Zen Center.
John Gruenwald is a San Francisco artist/printmaker who has studied with Liping Zhu since 1999. His love of the swimming dragon form has made it a key part of his daily practice. As a senior student he frequently leads classes for Zhu and teaches swimming dragon one evening a week at his loft studio Gruenwald Press in SOMA.
Catherine Nakamura has studied with Liping Julia Zhu since 1998. She saw Liping practicing in Golden Gate Park one Sunday and was captivated by the grace, beauty and strength of the form. It has since become an on-going study and a joy to share with others.
Lucinda Toy began her swimming dragon journey with Liping in 2001. The
journey has helped initiate and confirm her belief in the earning of a
master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine at the American
College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco.

Petra Duffo (pea-trah due-pho) began her tentative study of Qigong in high school. She met Liping in the winter of 2006 and quickly became a dedicated student of Heavenly Essence Qigong and Swimming Dragon Tai Chi. She has also studied Aikido, has her
bachelors in Humanistic Psychology and is currently finishing getting license in acupressure. Along with these pursuits, Petra also has a small business doing accounting and business consulting and enjoys creating art in her San Francisco studio.
