Healing Center founder and Chinese native, Liping Zhu, M.S., L.Ac., Dipl. O.M, is a licensed acupuncturist, a certified Qigong and Tai Chi instructor, and a Shuso trained at the San Francisco Zen Center.
Liping is a Nationally and California licensed Acupuncturist, Herbalist, Practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine and certified Qigong Taichi instructor. She is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) as Diplomate of Oriental Medicine in both Herbology and Acupuncture. Liping has an acupuncture practice in San Francisco.
Liping obtained her Masters in Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in San Francisco. Afterwards, she went to Nanjin, China for an internship. Liping is certified in facial rejuvenation acupuncture by the Chi-arka Center. She also holds certifications in Shiatsu and Tuina massages from her studies at ACTCM. She is currently finishing her TCM Dermatology Specialization Certificate Program with Professor Jialin Yu.
Liping believes in alternative medicine and Qigong energy healing . She empowers and guides her patients in self healing and health maintenance through both her energetic acupuncture treatments and her passionate teaching of ancient Qigong and Taichi practices. Liping’s extensive background in Qigong, Taichi, and Zen Buddhism adds to her uniqueness as a Chinese Medicine practitioner in the healing of both the body and mind.

Liping started her Taichi training with Master Yu Anren in 1990 and studied intensively with Master Yu the family style Taiyi Swimming Dragon Chuan and became one of his disciples. She met Master Yun Yinsen in 2006 and started to study Liu He Ba Fa. After a three month intensive study in Shanghai with Master Yun in 2008, she was authorized to teach Liu He Ba Fa in the States. Liping has been studying regularly and privately with Chen Style Taichi master George Xu in SF since 2001, who has become her main training teacher in internal martial art outside China. In 2010, Liping embarked on her new journey studying Qin Quan internal system intensively for three months with Master Qin Wenqing in Rushan, China.
Liping started her Qigong training in 1992 and received her Master level training in International Life Science Academy in Sichuan, China. Liping is one of the leading instructors of Heavenly Essence Qigong system in the west. She has been the Qigong instructor at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine since 2001.
Liping has been teaching Qigong and Taichi for more than 20 years to people of all ages and has made many of her masters’ teachings available in English.
Liping has received two Spiritual names. One is Fu Hui (福慧 Blessings and Wisdom) from her Qigong Master Zhang; Another is
Qing Feng Hui Jian (清风慧剑 Clear Wind, Wisdom Sword) from her Soto Zen lineage Dharma Heir Teah Strozer.
