ANNOUNCEMENT ON CLINIC OPERATION:

Dear Clients:  As an essential business to support the needs of healthcare, our clinic is now open with the following modified hours:

Fortuna Clinic: Mondays 11am-3:30pm
1730 Main St, Fortuna, CA95540 (inside Humboldt Foot & Ankle building)

Eureka Clinic : Tuesdays and Thursdays 11am-4:30pm
2831 E St, Eureka, CA95540 (yellow house with red trim, please know that our clinic entrance is through the back door from our parking lot behind the building in the alley between E & F St and between Grotto & Henderson)

4) desired time and dates and whether you are flexible with whatever openings we have
5) preferred clinic location Eureka or Fortuna or either

We will send you a welcome email for you to set up your Qi Dragon profile in our Janeapp online system.  After we find a time slot for you, we will send you an online intake form to complete. Please notify us when you have completed the online intake form and we will arrange an initial health consultation via phone or Zoom. 

For existing clients, please email us for scheduling new appointment or change your existing appointment. You will be able to cancel appointments online yourself if it is more than 24hrs notice but you won’t be able to book appointments online. Feel free to ask us to cancel your appointments for you. A late cancellation fee of $60 applies if you are canceling within 24 hours.

Client well-being guidelines for clinic visit:
To protect you and others from catching COVID in our facility, we ask for your participation in observing the following guidelines:

1. Come to your appointment by yourself if you are able. Otherwise, please limit guests to only necessary caregiver. Please have your company wait in car while you are receiving treatment.
2. Face masks are now optional in and out of treatment rooms.
3. Wash your hands and/or use our hand sanitizers once you enter.
4. If you are experiencing fever, cold and cough, we ask that you don’t come to the clinic.  Instead, please utilize our distant herbal consultation and curbside herb pickup services.

If you have symptoms of fever, dry cough and difficulty breathing, we advise that you contact your primary doctor and/or seek medical assistance and isolate.  

Payment/Insurance Billing:
Cash, check and credit cards are accepted. Payment is due in full at time of service. Below are additional payment options:
HSA/FSA cards: We are able to process your HSA and FSA cards and provide you a receipt upon your request.
VA Triwest: We are authorized provider for veterans. No treatment can be given until we have received the VA authorization fax.
Insurance: We are out of network with all insurance companies except VA. Upon request, we can provider Superbills (a special receipt with insurance billing codes) for you to submit to your insurance to get reimbursement if your insurance covers out of network acupuncture and if your insurance is not Blueshield handled by American Specialty Health (ASH). Please check your insurance to see if it covers out of network acupuncturist and it’s patient’s responsibility to verify your insurance status. We do not bill your insurance directly and we will charge you our day of service discounted cash rate at time of service. We DON’T provide any superbills for all Blueshield accounts handled by ASH. We can only provide you cash service with regular receipt that can not be used for insurance purpose. Please verify your account with Blueshield before you schedule your visit with us.

Cancellation/No Show Policy: A $60 fee applies for reservations cancelled with less than 24-hour notice or for no show. There is no fee for changing an appointment to a different time of the same day if appointment is available.

SERVICES:

New Patient Initial Intake Appointment (Fri – Sun by appointment only) 

 

If you are a new patient, we will start with your initial intake appointment before scheduling your initial acupuncture treatment. This health consultation is conducted remotely either via Facetime or Zoom as you prefer. This service doesn’t include acupuncture treatment. Please email to give your availability time for the intake session. We will send you an online intake form to fill out. Please make sure you complete your intake form in advance. 30-45minutes.

Acupuncture Treatment (by appointment for existing clients only) 
This office visit includes acupuncture treatment for treating specific illnesses or for general health maintenance. 40-50 minutes
*Additional fee applies for Cupping or Gua Sha treatment (limited availability).

Herbs are separate from acupuncture treatments.
 
Existing Patient Re-evaluation Intake
If you haven’t been seen for more than 3 months with new complaints, an re-evaluation intake is needed for updates of your health condition. This intake is conducted remotely either via Facetime or Zoom or Phone as you prefer.

Qi Dragon Practitioners

liping profile1Dr. Liping Zhu,DAOM, L.Ac., founder of Qi Dragon Healing Center and Heavenly Essence Qigong Institute, is a Nationally and California licensed acupuncturist and holds a doctorate degree in Oriental Medicine (DAOM, LAc.). Dr. Zhu was also certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) as Diplomate of Oriental Medicine in both Herbology and Acupuncture. Dr. Zhu is a general Chinese Medicine practitioner and specialized in Woman’s Health and Pain Management with her doctoral training.
Dr. Zhu is a disciple and authorized instructor in both the Heavenly Essence Qigong System and the Daoist Tai Yi Swimming Dragon Gong family lineage. She was a gold medalist in the 1996 International Martial Arts Tournament.
As a native of China who is fluent in English and deeply immersed in both cultures, Dr. Zhu makes Qigong, this ancient Chinese healing art and spiritual path, very accessible to the Western world.

 

Rolfing – Structural Integration Bodywork with Philip Brown

Rolfing is excellent for treating pain, tightness and tension in the body and for learning how to have better body posture and structure alignment.

Philip Brown, certified rolfer and a long time meditator and Qigong Taichi practitioner offers you his intuitive touch and informative points on posture. Philip has great patience and compassion in dealing with people in pain and is very knowledgeable about body structure. Philip is also a Te Yi Medical Qigong certified practitioner as well as a certified Qigong instructor of Heavenly Essence Qigong Level 1 Part I. Philip is currently Qi Dragon’s office manager and offers some sessions of Rolfing.

Dr. Zhu with her husband Philip Brown relocated to Eureka, Humboldt County from San Francisco in 2019. They are excited about becoming members of the Humboldt community and looking forward to providing their services to their new home area.
