Qi Dragon offers different levels of Qigong training programs that would fit different levels of commitment, interest and practice needs. Currently we have Qigong Introductory Program, Qigong Formal Study Program and Qigong Certificate Program. You may directly start with any of these programs. For our Qigong Certificate Program, we are currently offering Level 1 Qigong Certificate Program, Level 2 Qigong Certificate Program and Level 3 Qigong Certificate Program.
Heavenly Essence Qigong
Heavenly Essence Qigong integrates the essence of the Daoist Qigong, Medical Qigong, Buddhist Qigong, Martial Qigong and Confucian Qigong and is one of the most comprehensive Qigong systems available. It is well known for its powerful healing effects, comprehensive theories, easy-to-follow practices, deep insights and successful life science experiments both in healing and in spiritual cultivation. The system reveals some of the most advanced Qigong cultivation methods through its easy-to-understand modern language and techniques and makes the esoteric ancient traditions accessible to the general public. Through the progressive formal study of the system students will learn how to expel sick Qi, nourish good Qi, project External Qi (Wai Qi) with dynamic Qigong exercises and perform Qi healing on self and on others with the Te Yi (Special Medicine) healing methods. Students will also learn the Daoist alchemical practices of Microcosmic Orbit, Macrocosmic Orbit, Embryonic Breathing and Nei Dan (Internal Alchemy) practices with the complete study of the system.
Qi Dragon Qigong Certificate Program is an extension and expansion of our systematic Formal Study Program and offers more additional intensive practice weekends with the formal study weekends. This intensive training program is designed for students who wish to develop stronger discipline of the practice, to gain a broader knowledge of Qigong and to have more guidance in an intimate group setting. This program includes instructional Qigong courses, intensive group practice, home practice and study, Q&A, tests, group discussion and presentation as well as Medical Qigong healing sessions. Our Qigong Certificate Program also includes the study of basics in Western Science, Chinese Medicine, Nutrition, Martial Arts, Daoism and Buddhism to supplement the main study of Heavenly Essence Qigong System. Students may take our Qigong Certificate Program for personal healing and spiritual growth or for professional development. The Certificate Program is the prerequisite training for the Heavenly Essence Qigong Certified Instructor and Medical Qigong Practitioner programs.
Comparing to the Formal Study Program, the Certificate Program offers the same instructional courses but there are additional intensive practice weekends where many more teachings and intensive practices are included for deepening the initial instructions. We are currently offering Level 1-3 Certificate Programs that correspond to Heavenly Essence Qigong Level 1-3 Formal Study Programs respectively. This training offers the same Heavenly Essence Formal Study Program’s instructional courses plus additional nine intensive practice weekends for Level 1 and Level 2 and three intensive practice long weekend retreats for Level 3 .
We require you take Heavenly Essence Qigong formal study program Level 1 Part I Dynamic Qigong to familialize yourself with the training style before you start this full year intensive training.
Qi Dragon Qigong Certificate Program does not certify a student to teach Heavenly Essence Qigong system until a student completes the Qi Dragon Certified Qigong Instructor Training Course.
Students who have previously completed the Heavenly Essence Formal Study Level 1 Part II, III and Qigong Fasting Weekends before joining the certificate program must retake those weekend courses with the group. However, you will receive a $100 retake credit for each of those courses completed piror to this program (limited to 1 credit per each unique course).

Qi Dragon Level 1 Qigong Certificate Program: (Total 12 weekends, 184 in-class Training hours)
Prerequisite: Level 1 Part I Dynamic Qigong weekend
Qi Dragon Level 2 Qigong Certificate Program: (Total 12 weekends, 184 in-class Training hours)
Prerequisite: Qi Dragon Level 1 Certificate Program
Qi Dragon Level 3 Qigong Certificate Program:(One 10-day retreat training, 3 quarterly 3-day retreat)
Prerequisite: Qi Dragon Level 2 Certificate Program and the Bai Shi ceremony.
This concludes Qi Dragon Qigong Certificate Program. To become certified Heavenly Essence Qigong instructor and Medical Qigong Practitioner, please refer to Pages for Certified Instructor Program and Certified Medical Qigong Program. For continued training after Level 3 Certificate Program, students proceed with the Formal Study Program Level 4 and the Advanced Study after Level 4.
Qi Dragon Qigong Formal Study Program: Heavenly Essence Qigong Level 4
Prerequisite: Levels 1 – 3 Formal Study. No CEU credits.
Level 4 Formal Study is taught over a 10-day instructional retreat including Qigong Fasting for 3 or 5 days. If condition allows, this training might involve 3 or 5 day dark room training with the Qigong fasting. Level 4 focuses on Wisdom Developing and deeper healing.

Bio of the Main Instructor:
Liping Zhu L.Ac., founder of Qi Dragon Healing Center and gold medalist in the 1996 International Martial Arts Tournament, received her Qigong master level training in China and is a certified instructor. She has received direct transmission and is a disciple of both the Heavenly Essence Qigong lineage and Tai Yi Swimming Dragon Sect. Mrs. Zhu has more than 20 years of experience in teaching Taichi and Qigong. She is the Qigong instructor at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 2010, she became a Shuso in the Soto Zen tradition after a 10-year residency at the San Francisco Zen Center. Mrs. Zhu is an acupuncturist licensed in California and nationally and currently practices acupuncture, herbal medicine and Qigong healing in San Francisco.
