Qi Dragon™ Introductory Qigong Program
Qi Dragon™ offers different levels of Qigong training programs that would fit different levels of commitment, interest and practice needs. Currently we have Qigong Introductory Program, Qigong Formal Study Program and Qigong Certificate Program. You may directly start with any of these programs according to your needs and intention.
Qi Dragon™ Introductory Qigong Program is our general Qigong study program that teaches the basics of Qigong to the general public without focuing on one specific Qigong lineage or systematic study. This Qigong training program focuses on introducing you to some fundamental Qigong theories, principals, some common traditional Chinese Qigong practices and an introductory level study of the three main Qigong exercises from Heavenly Essence Qigong system which is the main Qigong system that Qi Dragon focuses on. Most of our Introductory Qigong workshops offer CEUs (in Cateogry 1) to L.Ac.s and RNs. There is usually no prerequisite for this program.
All classes or workshops organized and facilitated by institutions other than Qi Dragon itself are under our Qi Dragon™ Introductory Qigong Program unless indicated otherwise. These workshops are intended for general study of Qigong for the general public’s health or life preservation practice. If you would like to acquire an in-depth and comprehensive formal study of Qi Dragon’s Dao Cultivation System, you may directly start with our Qi Dragon™ Formal Study Program or Qi Dragon Qigong Certificate Program for the study of Heavenly Essence Qigong lineage or start with our Taiyi Swimming Dragon Gong and Qin Quan Taichi Qigong Training for those two systems.
Qi Dragon™ Introductory Qigong Program includes a general study of basic Qigong theories, basic Qigong breathing training, some most beneficial traditional Qigong practices from different schools and the three main dynamic Qigong practices from Qi Dragon Heavenly Essence Qigong Program. The teachings and practices are presented in different combinations and contexts in each unique individual teaching setting either as a weekly practice class, or a half-day, one-day or multiple day workshops/retreats.
Qi Dragon™ Introductory Qigong Program considers any of the following practices as its Introductory Qigong practices and currently makes most of these practices available to the public:

Introduction to Heavenly Essence Qigong (9am-4pm) (6CEUs upon approval)
This is an introductory workshop for the specific study of Qi Dragon Heavenly Essence Qigong. This one day workshop is good for beginners to learn some Qigong basic theories and principals as well as the three main Dynamic Qigong exercises of the system. You will be given a basic introduction to a profound Qigong practice that has benefited millions of its practitioners, both physically and spiritually in China. The core of the system lies in this foundation study. Taking this one-day workshop is recommended before your formal study of Qigong or before taking our weekly Monday Night Qigong practice class. As a beginner, you may start attending the Monday Night Qigong practice while waiting for any instructional workshops. There is usually 6 CEUs in Category I available for L.Ac. and RN. Please verify with each event for CEUs.
The Qigong for Health one-day workshop that we offer at Green Gulch Farm, SF Zen Center or other venues and the Healing with Qigong and Zen retreat at Tassajara Zen Mountain Center introduce you to some of the Qi Dragon introductory Qigong Practices for your physical and mental health. There is usually a 7 CEUs in Category I for the one day workshop and 18 CEUs in Category I for the Tassajara retreat for L.Ac. and RN. Please check each specific workshop description for details.
Qigong Intensive Day (9am-5pm) (8CEUs upon approval)
Prerequisite: familiar with the basic three Dynamic Qigong exercises
This is an intensive practice day for anyone who has received instructions on the Three Main Dynamic Qigong Exercises of Heavenly Essence Qigong. This one day intensive practice is highly recommended after you completed the Qigong for Health workshop training or any half- or one-day Introductory Qigong Workshop Qi Dragon conducted. This is a good place for you to start your practice and develop your discipline after learning the basic theories and the three main exercises. We also offer Intensive Day for different levels of our Qigong study. Please verify the prerequisite for each intensive day practice.

Monday Night Qigong – A Practice Class (Beginners are welcome!)
Location: Gruenwald Press, 1663 Mission Street, entrance is the yellow door on Plum Street (facing the entrance of the Discount Builders), Door Code 352
Class Fee: Sliding scale $10-$15 (Please leave your class fee in the wooden box on the table)
Led by Liping Zhu or substitute senior student
This class consists of an hour practice of the Three Main Dynamic Qigong exercises and half an hour Group Qi Field Healing Meditation. Group energy (Qi) is very powerful for healing and enhancing your energy level. No previous experience is necessary. Please make sure you have read the Special Notes on Monday Night Qigong on our website before attending this class for the first time.
