Te Yi or Te Yi Medical Qigong is part of Heavenly Essence Qigong (HEQ) system. Its training overlaps with our Heavenly Essence Qigong Formal Study Program and Qigong Certificate Program plus a specific Te Yi Certification Course.

To learn the Qi Assessment and Qi Regulation techniques of Te Yi Medical Qigong, you can choose to be trained as either a  Te Yi® Student Practitioner (TYSP) or a Te Yi® Certified Practitioner (TYCP). Please read more about what Te Yi Medical Qigong is.


 Te Yi ® Student Practitioner (TYSP)

All students who take our Te Yi Medical Qigong courses either through our Formal Study Program or our Certificate Program before fulfilling the Certification Course are considered Te Yi Medical Qigong Student Practitioners. A student can list oneself as a Qi Dragon Te Yi Medical Qigong Student or Student Practitioner (TYSP) of its level of study. For example, Te Yi Medical Qigong Level 1 Student Practitioner. All treatments provided by Te Yi Medical Qigong Students or Student Practitioners are for learning and practice purpose and the word “Te Yi Student” or “Te Yi Student Practitioner” is required to differentiate from the Te Yi Certified Practitioners. The Te Yi Medical Qigong services provided by Te Yi Student Practitioners can only be advertised for free or by donation.

To become a Te Yi Medical Qigong student practitioner you can start with
Level 1 Qigong Formal Program or Level 1 Certificate Program.

Te Yi ® Certified Practitioner (TYCP)

Te Yi Certification Course is a short training in Te Yi Medical Qigong for students who have completed the Two-year Qi Dragon Qigong Certificate Program Level 1&2.

Payment and Refund and Certification Policy :

  • Late Payment Policy: A late fee of $50 will be charged if payments are not received by the due date. A fee of $30 will be charged for any returned checks in addition to the $50 late fee. Any payment that is more than one month late will be charged an additional $50 for every additional 30 days. More than two delinquent payments will result in dismissal from the training.
  • Refund Policy: By being accepted to this program, the student has committed to the full program. There is no refund or credit for missed classes or partial participation. Full refund is given if the program is cancelled or if your application is not accepted. Full refund for cancellation made 15 days before the workshop minus a $50 processing fee.   Cancellations made within 15 days before the workshop will be nonrefundable​.​ All cancellations need to be made in writing.  No credit for partial workshop or any missed classes.
    Qi Dragon reserves the right to change the dates and location of the workshop and reserves the right to cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment (8 students minimum). In that case, we will notify the registrants of the change and you will receive full refund.  It’s a student’s responsibility to read this policy and our disclaimer online before signing up for our workshops.
  • Credit Card Charges: Check or cash payment is preferred for your payment though credit card payment is an option. If you prefer to pay with your credit card, an additional 3% credit card fee applies.
  • Certification Policy: At the end of the Te Yi Certification Course, a test on all Level 1&2 Te Yi related handouts including Bi Gu handouts will be conducted. Student who complete the training hours with a passing score and also total of 6 Case Studies will be granted a Certificate of Te Yi Certified Practitioner (TYCP) and can use Qi Dragon registered Te Yi Medical Qigong trademark for professional services with a title of TYCP. It is your responsibility to follow any local county business requirement for conducting your business services.​ Being part of this certification training course does not guarantee you will be certified ​
    ​​if you miss training hours​and activities ​or fail the comprehensive test or fail to submit your case studies on time.​ ​You will be required to retake this course in which case, retaker tuition fee and lodging fee apply if future course is held in a retreat setting.​ There is no makeup for this course or delayed submission of homework allowed for this training. This course is subject to change in the future without notice.​

Daily Qigong Practice
Comprehensive Test on Te Yi (Te Yi related contents from the Level 1 and Level 2 Qigong handouts and Bi Gu 1& Handouts)

At the end of the Te Yi Certification Course, a test on all Te Yi related handouts will be conducted. Student with a passing score will be granted a Certificate of Certified Te Yi Medical Qigong Practitioner. Student with a passing score will be granted a Certificate of Te Yi Medical Qigong Certified Practitioner. Being part of this certification retreat training does not guarantee a student to be certified if a student fails to meet all training hours or fail the comprehensive test. ​You will be required to retake this course with a new registration in that case.​

After the retreat training, 30 treatment records (minimum 15 unique persons) are required before the Te Yi Certification can be issued.

Lodging Arrangement:

This retreat is limited to 20 students maximum with or without campers for the teaching space and dining room capacity. There are mixed single and shared rooms and 3-4 camping spots, all sufficiently comfortable to support your training. To make things simpler, the campers will decide their own camping spots. For the non-campers, we decide to have the rooms in order from the single to the shared and will assign students to the rooms in the order each payment with registration is received (Please know that verbal and email notifying us won’t secure your spot!).
