Taiyi Swimming Dragon Quan is a gentle and flowing form of movement that combines Taichi, Qigong, and yogic stretching into one. This rare Taichi style, once a secret Yu family heirloom, circulates and cultivates Qi, as well as enhances balance, flexibility, and coordination. Accessible to all levels, no previous experience of any swimming dragon forms necessary.

A recording of each class will be available to view for 5 days, so you can review or catch up if you missed the real time class.

Workshop Description:

Tai Yi Xing Bu Gong or Swimming Dragon Walking Gong 太乙行步功 is a rare and beautiful form from the Daoist lineage of Grandmaster Yu Anren. It combines Qigong and Taichi principals into a fun walking form with gentle and graceful stretches to promote flexibility, balance, strength and inner peace.  Those movements are good for strengthening the bones, improving balance and flexibility as well as increasing internal Qi, invigorating blood circulation and refreshing the mind.

Swimming Dragon Walking Gong is simple to remember, fun to learn and good for people of all ages.

Prerequisite: No previous experience necessary. Beginners and experienced practitioners are both welcome.

Location: Gene Lucas Community Center in Fortuna, 3000 Newburg Rd, Fortuna

Tuition: $250
Space is limited. First come, first serve. No partial or individual class registration is allowed.

Class Time: Wednesdays 8:45am – 10am for 12 weeks, starting May 27, 2020 and ends August 26, no class on June 24 and August 5, 2020

Cancellation Policy: Please know there is no credit for partial participation in this workshop. Students are responsible for missed classes. Our assistant instructor will be available for extra help during the classes if you need. Any cancellation made in writing 2 weeks prior to the event, you will get a refund minus $50 processing fee. No refund or credit if cancellation is made 2 weeks before the start of the event.
